Sat on the Rocks

$98 / month

I've learned to begin each day by asking the right questions:

How can I remain grateful for this opportunity to create something beautiful?

What would it take for me to allow prosperity, peace, joy & fulfillment with ease today?

A mastery mindset doesn't come by default for most of us. It requires intentional practice and dedication to shifting from probability consciousness to possibility consciousness.

Our work is about practicing habits necessary for increasing our capacity to be of service in the highest possible manner.

This is about fine-tuning one's vibration to resonate with that which is most fulfilling, beautiful and life-giving.

It's about practicing wakefulness in small increments, one moment at a time.

This is what I teach and guide people through. Join me for daily morning check-ins, weekly group zoom meetings + one monthly individual session with me.

My Training & Professional Experience:

I earned my Masters in Social work (Fordham University Graduate School of Social Services, 1987) and began a rich career as a psychotherapist (adolescents, families, men), addictions counselor, group facilitator, speaker, trainer (men's work; diversity & multicultural literacy; leadership).  My foundational years as a therapist were grounded in some of the best training in NYC, studying such luminaries as Freud, Jung, Anna Freud, Melanie Klein, etc.

Upon graduating from Fordham I hit the jackpot when I wrote a letter to the famous psychoanalyst, Dr. Herbert Strean.  He took me under his wing and we began a weekly personal mentoring relationship that lead me to classical analysis with Dr. Norman Shelly. Over the next several years I continued digging into my inner world through Object Relations, then Jungian, transpersonal, etc.

In addiction to clinical training I've been a student of Mystery Schools and Science of Mind for 30 years, studying with too many masters to list but particularly influenced by Sufi Master Hazrat Inayat Khan, Gurudev Sri Majaraj Satchidananda, Neville Goddard, Wallace D. Wattles, Mata Amritanandamay, Carl Jung, Dr. Lee Irwin, Dr. Wayne Dyer and Dr. Joe DiSpenza.

My path has taken me down a number of roads:

In 1994 I was initiated into deep men's work and  shadow-work by the ManKind Project, and in 1997 was certified to co-lead men's retreats all the world over.

In 1995 I began a rigorous10 year apprenticeship with a true Shaman who taught me the traditional ways of native people's rites under the condition I not reveal his name.  I worked with plant medicine with a focus around purification ceremony.

In 1996 I began Leadership Consulting with GDI, providing cutting-edge emotional intelligence &  performance training  - founded on Daniel Goleman's research - with high-level government research scientists with the USFDA.

In 2001, following the tragedy of 9/11, I left NYC and relocated to Charleston, SC where I dove into racial healing and multicultural literacy work.  Combining group facilitation skills with training technologies, I implemented the first Student Diversity Initiatives program at the College of Charleston, building upon the platform of a powerful modality known as intergroup dialogue.  I facilitated hundreds of dialogues between blacks & whites, men & women, Christians & Jews, and so on.  I also trained and implemented the Safe Zone Project inside  COFC as well as MUSC, a program that still stands today.

In 2002 I was introduced to a Sufi master who eventually took me through a 3 day initiation into the American Sufi Order. I have been a student of Hazrat Inayat Khan for the past 20 years.

In 2004 I fell in love with yoga and became a certified RTY 200 Yoga instructor, and then in 2007 I took the deepest dive of my life:

I gave away my possessions and went to live in the Satchidanda Ashram (Yogaville). For one life-changing year, I drilled down into meditation, yoga and spiritual practice. That experience changed my relationship to my mind forever.

In 2008 I realized a life-long dream and met a living saint, Mata Amritanandamay (known as "The Hugging Saint") and took mantra initiation from her.

From 2008 - 2013 I had the privilege to serve as a Primary Addictions Counsellor in a high-profile treatment center in the West Indies, radically expanding my own multicultural intelligence.  I returned to the USA where I've sought to expand beyond the limiting models traditionally used to address addictions, compulsions & self-defeating behavior. That path involved diving more deeply into work with living masters in consciousness & self-actualization.

In 2017 I became the Lead Training Facilitator for the Braveheart Experience, a trauma-resolution experiential intensive for men in treatment for chemical dependency, and in 2021 I was Certified as a (CEF) Certified Experiential Facilitator by Deep Waters Recovery.

Presently I serve as the Director for the Healing Heart Experience facilitating large group trauma resolution intensives/ rites of passage for The Last Resort, a premier treatment facility in central Texas.

All of that leads me to this work with men & women hungry for self-actualization, bringing me to my highest life vision fulfilled.

Come Work With Me

By the time we're halfway through you'll have:

* Extreme clarity about your life’s vision;

* Grounded in practical steps to get into full alignment with the vision;

* A new way of thinking, speaking to yourself, managing your emotions and accessing the creative power of the universe to manifest your vision;

* Your own personal habitual practice for creating the outcomes you desire. I guide you through it every step of the way.

Why Choose Me?

Most counselors, coaches and healer-types aim to specialize in one area.  My specialty is quite the opposite. You'll be hard-pressed to find a professional with a broader or deeper range of experience/training in so many diverse - yet congruent - modalities.  Unlike most coaches and counselors, I'm interested in getting you off my caseload as soon as possible. I attain this by working more intensively, training and drilling down - daily - into practices you can master within a few weeks.  Nobody masters anything by only doing it once a week.

Meditation Group

I draw from many diverse schools of influence, from modern psychoanalysis to the Upanishads to the gnostics, sufis, contemporary neuroscientists and more. I've been a NYS certified psychotherapist, an internationally certified men's work leader, an addictions counselor in a luxury rehab, a race-relations community leader in the Deep South, and a yogi living on a mountain. My goal as a professional is to apply world-class treatment drawing from possibly the broadest, most diverse toolbox in the world.

Most of all, you should choose me because you deserve the best, and to be the best I'm dedicated to doing my work as deeply as you do.

Thanks for considering me!
