Meet Greg
and his Co-Facilitator and Goodest Boy in the world, Jon Snow

It's my privilege and vocation to hold space as a gentle source of awakening for men & women on the path of self-actualization. I offer professional caliber trauma-sensitive counseling as well as cognitive behavioral "mindset training" to individuals in recovery, professionals working with trauma, and groups daring to support each other in profound experiential trauma resolution workshops & retreats.
GREG LIOTTA, LMSW
Transpersonal Coaching, Counseling & Trauma Resolution
My Training & Professional Experience:
I earned my Masters in Social work (Fordham University Graduate School of Social Services, 1987 and began a rich career as a psychotherapist (adolescents, families, men), addictions counselor, group facilitator, speaker, trainer (men's work; diversity & multicultural literacy; leadership). My foundational years as a therapist were grounded in some of the best training in NYC, studying such luminaries as Freud, Jung, Anna Freud, Melanie Klein, etc.
Supplementing my clinical training, I've been a student of Mystery Schools and Science of Mind for 30 years, studying with too many masters to list but particularly influenced by Sufi Master Hazrat Inayat Khan, Gurudev Sri Majaraj Satchidananda, Neville Goddard, Wallace D. Wattles, Mata Amritanandamay, Carl Jung, Dr. Lee Irwin, Dr. Wayne Dyer and Dr. Joe DiSpenza.
My path has taken me down a number of roads:
In 1994 I was initiated into deep shadow men's work by the ManKind Project. In 1997 was certified to co-lead men's retreats all the world over, and continued working with men, leading groups and weekend retreats for 10 years.
In 1995 I began a rigorous10 year apprenticeship with an authentic shaman who taught me the traditional ways of native people's rites. I worked with plant medicine with a focus around purification ceremony.
In 1996 I began Leadership Consulting with GDI, providing cutting-edge emotional intelligence & performance training - founded on Daniel Goleman's research - with high-level government research scientists with the USFDA.
In 2001, following the tragedy of 9/11, I relocated to Charleston, SC where I became committed to racial healing and multicultural literacy work. Combining group facilitation skills with training technologies, I implemented the first Student Diversity Initiatives program at the College of Charleston, building upon the platform of a powerful modality known as Intergroup Dialogue. I facilitated hundreds of dialogues between blacks & whites, men & women, Christians & Jews, and so on. I also implemented the Safe Zone Project inside COFC as well as the Medical University of South Carolina, a program that still stands today.
In 2002 I was introduced to a Sufi master who took me through a 3 day initiation into the American Sufi Order. I have been a student of Hazrat Inayat Khan for the past 20 years.
In 2004 I fell in love with yoga and became a certified RTY 200 Yoga instructor.
In 2007 I took the deepest dive of my life:
I gave away my most of what I owned and went to live in the Satchidanda Ashram (Yogaville). For one life-changing year, I drilled down into meditation, yoga and spiritual practice. That experience changed my relationship to my mind forever.
From 2008 - 2013 I had the privilege to serve as a Primary Addictions Counsellor in a high-profile treatment center in the West Indies, radically expanding my own multicultural intelligence. I returned to the USA in 2013 where I've sought to expand beyond the limiting models traditionally used to address addictions, compulsions & self-defeating behavior. That path involved diving more deeply into work with living masters in consciousness & self-actualization.
In 2017 I became the Lead Training Facilitator for a trauma-resolution experiential intensive for men in treatment for chemical dependency, and in 2021 I was Certified as a (CEF) Certified Experiential Facilitator by Deep Waters Recovery.
In 2021 I designed and implemented the Healing Heart Experience, facilitating large group trauma resolution intensives/ rites of passage for The Last Resort, a premier treatment facility in central Texas.
The Healing Heart Experience is an experiential retreat that applies clinical application of neurocardiology, HeartMath, experiential Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Hakomi (somatic mindfulness) and Polyvagal Theory.
